I’m Lucinda Kate, mother-of-two, comms specialist and founder of NameBabyName.com.

My goal is to simplify the exciting but sometimes overwhelming baby name decision-making process, so you can really enjoy naming the newest member of your family and be confident you’ve made the right decision. 

With more than 20 years’ experience in research, writing, journalism and editing, I created the baby name resource I wish was available when we were looking for names for our two miracle IVF babies. 

On this site you’ll find the results of years of my personal research into names, including accurate information on origins and meanings, as well as plenty of articles featuring my analysis of popularity stats and trends over the years.

You’ll also find my extensive lists of girls, boys and gender-neutral names, categorized into themes to help break up the monotony of alphabetized lists!

Of course, I’ve also written alphabetized lists for anyone with a set idea on initials!

I’m proud to say NameBabyName.com has already helped hundreds of parents, and I really hope we can add you to that number. My dream is to help a million parents name a million babies!
